Happy Valentine's and Happy Chinese New Year

I have been telling Darling that the First day of CNY this year is Valentine's Day too, and i asked him whether he wants to come and celebrate this aweosome day with me. He wouldn't usually be in Singapore during Chinese New Year because he gotta go to his family to bai nian too.

So after quite a bit of asking and all, i've come to a closure regarding this issue, i told him we'll celebrate it the next day after i finish all my visitings.

But he gave me a call that day and said he would come in the evening.

Well, the first thing that happened in the morning is all of us rushing to get out of the house to Ah Mah's place. After eating and all, we will go to the cemetary at LCK to bai Ah Gong. Then headed back to either home or ah mah's place, this year, we went back to Ah Mah's place.

Darling came and i asked papa and mama whether we should go Hong Bao River at Marina Bay, and they are ok with it. With Pa, Ma and Darling, we headed to Marina and started our mission of squeezing thru the crowd. HAHA!!! And of course, plenty of photos.

In line with Valentine's, there are people selling roses at Marina. I wanted it so much, just 1 is enough, and i looked with envious at those lucky girls who got a rose from their boyfriends or husbands but i didn't say anything because i know Darling dun like to buy roses, i pestered him for 2 years plus, and only got my bouquet of 12 roses on my 21st Birthday, so I should be contented with that instead of pestering him again.

I didn't asked for it. >-<

Then Darling asked me to wait while i was queuing to get the free "FU" calligraphy. After that, to my ultimate suprise, darling came forth with 3 Red Roses. I was so touched!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, I am a 幸福小女人。

Knowing that my Papa is not a LO-MAN-TIC person, Darling bought a pink rose and ask Papa to give Mama... HAHAH!!! So cute!

We went to Mac for a late night coffee and spent our Valentine's together.

Our happiness made each other.

Our Reunion 除夕

Before Chinese New Year, Xt came back from Vietnam for her long holi as well as the festive season. 3 of us met up at Bugis for shopping and chilling.

That day was a fulfilling day. Because i think we haven't went out shopping for Chinese New Year for a really long time and that was after so so long...

We headed to Coffee Bean at WM for a drink and then headed home. It was not a long day we had but it was definitely a good one. O! It was Chu Xi that day, we had our reunion.

Best to have them around.

PS: Looking forward to Thailand trip with my girls in June.

Our office closed on Thursday and i've been packing my place and going out to grab some stuff before CNY, been kind of tired... Headache due to the freaking hot weather...

Marvellous Tuesday

I was in the office today and talking to my colleague about buying a bag. We were telling each other about the bags from Charles and Keith and we wanted to buy one but they are all too expensive.

So we decided to head to Clarke Quay Central's Charles&Keith to take a look. We walked from Outram to Central.......... Our first time doing so. After countless browsing and consideration, i finally decided to buy the black bag with gold metalware (my favourite combination), i used Lynn's privilege card and got 10% discount, but it still totalled to $50.30. I've nv used Charles&Keith's bag before but i've got quite a lot of good feedback about their bags so i am giving it a shot, knowing that its half a hundred bucks. HA!

Its like the best bag to bring overseas can?! I can put my netbook in, even if i wanna put my laptop in, its also possible. WAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Feels so proud of myself! It looks good and its so practical! But, the one disadvantage of the bag is, it is kind of heavy. Its ok for me though. Heee~~~

In the evening, Darling told me his Canon friend will be bringing the camera to him so i can go get it from him in the evening and SO I DID! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I own a Canon Digital Camera now. I LOVE it so much! Its RED and its SMALL, just the thing for good travel! Not to mention, best photo quality... WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Almost forgot to blog about Jesscy's BIG day at Noble House!

The place itself is really nice, i like the English kind of structure within the premise. Its so cosy. Lynn's Husband picked me up at CCK and the rest at Tanjong Pagar then dropped us at UIC Building where we took a little time to find the place.

After putting in the Ang Baosss and signing the guestbook, we headed in to look for our seats. All the rest of our Exco are there. Hee~ We took an empty table ourselves and joined by a few other excos.

One of the days this week, i decided to make lunchbox again. Pasta/Mushroom Salad. Hee~ Its so yummy! Everything taste good with Mushroom. Cheers to SHROOMS!

It was a filling lunch tho. Didn't felt hungry till i got home and smelled Mama's cooking. Hee~

I bought necklace for Darling and myself. I didn't get a photo of Darling's piece, its actually the same, jus that the middle 1 is black. Its from Citigems, not ex. Its for Valentine's.

Met up with Lin Na on Thursday to do some shopping at Bugis. I didn't buy a lot of stuff, she bought a lot! Things at Bugis st are so so so so so cheap! Can't stand the cheapness and the friendliness of the pple there.

And we head on to Iluma for dinner at Empire State. We had Pizza and Pasta, it was actually okay. The pizza is really nice tho. YuM yUm!

Went out with Darling last night, we went to collect my luggage, then head on to Princess town for LAKSA. 

 Darling went to pump petrol and i noticed his seat has this shape on it. HAHA!!! His butt closed so tight when he sat on it. So funny!!!

Our fave laksa ever, always filled with hill-ful of ingredients, never stingy about it.

That's me again, doing nothing on the way back home. 

Didn't sleep well that night coz of the weather. It was so hot and there was no air-con in the room (environmentally-friendly), both of us got up feeling so tired.

Everyone, Chinese New Year is approaching. Have you got your clothes yet? I still got some shopping to do. And i'm looking forward for my bestie's return.

I think i won't be having an awesome Valentine's but i think i'll have an awesome CNY! :D

New Image

Today, I decided to change my entire blog by deleting all the pretty pretty stuff and just do a normal kind of blog.

I'm already turning 22 this year, its time (i guess) to act a little bit more like a grown up. Some stuff remains here and removed the tagboard which sat there for the past few years. I still can't bear to delete all the other things i blogged about, don't know, i guess its that feeling that lingers on.

A little bit contradicting. Because a couple of years ago, I threw away all the letters my friends wrote to me when we were in Primary School but I can't bear to delete these posts? HAhA! I think I'm gonna give it some thoughts.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the rest of this year already coz its Feb, which means i'm gonna start travelling soon! For work that is. Itss so nice to be able to go to different countries to see all kind of different stuff. :D

I'm grateful that i'm working here.

Darling just called up and asked me to post photos of my hair on FB for someone to see. Its a little bit weird. But i'll do that. I think its one of his customers who wanna take a look.

I haven't came up with an aim for the year. Feeling rather.... How should i put it? I dunno, just living each day and waiting for the next. January is coming to an end so fast.

Last Friday, we had our monthly meeting at Zi Yean restaurant around Redhill there. So many councils came. And we had to have 3 round tables for dinner. HAHA!!! The food are pretty good, dunno the price though.

Darling and I had a huge tiff last weekend also. I supposed there's just too much consideration to take in once we made a decision on something. It can get up to one's nerve so badly that you can't control it. It can be disastrous. How well do we know each other? How well do we know ourselves? Try answering that.

I took a day off on Tuesday to get my hair done. FINALLY! So i have pretty straight hair on top and curls below. I like like like but its so hard to maintain the curls especially when my hair is so dry. I just gotta be a bit more hardworking -> apply condition everyday.

Darling and I went to Giant coz i wanna buy tidbits and yeah, i bought A LOT of Tidbits! HAHAHHAHA!!! So happy!

Then decided to do pedicure coz i really miss that place which always give me the BEST pedi/mani at a really affordable price. WAHAHAHA!!! Nice right?

Went to Chinatown with pa and ma for some CNY shopping. And we walked into this place which sells all sorts of bonsai! I was intrigued by all the pretty flowers... Too bad my phone don't have a good camera to take nice shots of them.

Considering the time now, its obvious that i'm in the office. I woke up late today, papa came to wake me up, haha! And Papa drove me to work. We left house at 8.40am.

The problem with Singapore roads is that it always jam early in the morning but once it strikes 8.30am, the traffic will start to loosen, and become easier to move on the road. However, this morning, the opposite occured. It was jamming like crazy at 8.50am. I only reached work at 9.15am. HA! But its ok here, at least my boss is not that strict on our timing. As long as there isn't any meeting or stuff to complete, we can come in later but not too late, usually any time before 9.30am is ok.

Anyway, i had a Milo, and i burnt my tongue coz its so damn hot. HA!

Just bought Gatsby Hair Foam and its really gd! It styled my hair and hold it well unlike Lucidol, feels so cheated after using it.

Still got some CNY shopping to do. Haven't got enough clothes. :D

I have nothing to do. Erm...

Kind of nua-ed the whole day away browsing any website that came to my mind. Thought there may be a MJ session tonight but called off coz 2 not available, 1 cannot be located.. Ha! Ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm turning 22 this yr. HA! As i grow older, i started to realise there are many and bigger problems waiting for me to solve it. Gosh... I see all those younger kids, growing up, wearing make-up, wearing lesser clothes etc. But i couldn't rmb myself doing that. When did i started putting make-up? I think i was 16? I guess.. When i started working...

When did i started to wear lesser? When i lost weight! WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Around 17 or 18 i think. Hee~

When did i held hands with a guy, when i was 17 also? I dun recall. HA!

When did i started clubbing? 16 i think... It was short-life, i stopped at 17. I think. Didn't really club a lot too, didn't really like the people and the smell of the places. But i do like chilling out in bars, a place with a good live band, and most definitely with a few glasses of alcohol.

O! Never tried getting drunk and i dun wanna try.

Secondary School
In Secondary school, i rmb Mrs Loo, she made my Math damn good. Even when i was on duty to clean board, i'm afraid she'd scold me if i erase the wrong stuff. HAHA!!! I was Math rep for dunno which term, and i need to collect all the exercise book and bring to her office. But can never forget how she drilled everything into my head, sometimes when i face a question, i didn't even have to think. That was how good she made us, me at least. I was an A1 Math student! WAHa!

 I rmb Mr Onn, he made my Chemistry's grade went up. He is that quiet fellow who the whole class will bully but he is really gd with the science, he just carried on teaching. Whenever i ask a question, he will answer them in a way for me to understand. But he left the school quite early and he was replaced by none other thatn Ms Wang. HAHA!

I nv understood her.

I rmb ermmmmmm.......... Mr Yang, his Chinese lesson is really great, like the way he'd tell a story about the new word. And then Mdm Khong, she always ask me to read passages, almost everyday that i got so sick of it, then she realised and she stopped calling my name. HAHA!!! She won't call 爱萍, she'll call Ai PING (Read as I 冰)... Hee~ Proud to say, i got Top Chinese a few times...

I forgot the name of the 1st teacher who taught us D&T, but i like his lesson, he is quite funny but if he's fierce, he's really fierce. Well, and there was Ms Lim, the one who made the whole class go against each other.

I am also a Top D&T kid. :)

O! Ms Teo, always have headache. Her English is really awesome! And my English improve coz of her. Only managed to be a B student.

The rest are vaguely rmbed.

O! And a big part of my Sec life, was Netball. Being in school team was so hard. I guess if we weren't part of the pioneer batch student, i wouldn't make it into school team. But well, i did. I was very slack initially but later started playing seriously. Its tiring but fun. I was DEFENDER coz me fat fat then. HAHA!!!

I love Secondary school life! Really do...

Poly years
Ermm... I rmbed i struggled a lot for poly... Everything was different. The 1st sem was horrible... It was a good thing i never failed any modules.

The pple i meet there are all nice. But most of us have our own lives. Out of the class itself, the rest were, i feel, free-riders. I really feel that way. Ha!

Everything slowly settled in year 2 and being able to handle the work load much much better. And i think year 3 is the best (excluding the attachment part). HAHAHA!!!!

So fast hor... I'm surviving in the working world. I think i am lucky, i really think i am. HAHAHA!!!

Bigger things to do following everything else. I'm not living for anyone else, i just wanna do things which i am happy doing. I wanna be happy happy... That's all i wanna do.

No point struggling with what others think right?

Last week, 7 Jan, was Jesscy's BD. As usual, our BD cake cutting in office! YEaH! It was ice cream cake! I was so bloated that day after lunch then the cake...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSCY! She's getting married on 31 Jan 2010, fyi. So blessed, i feel.

On Saturday, Darling, came to pick me up and  i rmbed to bring my luggage to fix. Finally, hope it'll be done soon!

Darling permed my hair on Thurs and he mentioned wad his boss said on Friday which I can't help thinking, he never changes. Just don't understand how can 1 person promised so much but put so much act which everybody sees through. Is that really that way a boss acts? I warned my bf nv to do that if he becomes a boss one day. O well....

I think i like my perm. But i still dun like the mixed colour i have on my hair. And need to get the top rebonded.

We had dinner at Nachos i think. They have their own chilli, the food are not bad.

Darling always looks good with short hair but i think this cut wasn't done well, can see edgy finishing... O well..

We walked around the building but didn't get anything... I didn't see anything i want...

We headed home later on and i watched TV and chatted a little with his mama.

Sunday evening, we went to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. SO adorable! Hee~~~ Then we went for a damn good dinner at Kulai. OMG! The crab is SO FREAKing DELICIOUS! Its near Yellow corner... HA!

I was off on Monday, Darling wanted to rebond my hair at his place but early in the morning, his mother knocked on the door and delivered bad news about his grandma. So darling had to bring me back and go to his grandma's.

Before that, we had lunch at Kinsahi, City Sq.

Then, Darling walked me to custom and i took a bus back myself.

I spent the rest of my off day at home, nua-ing away. HAhahaha!

BT kor passed me my new netbook on Sunday also. It was doing the set up and i think that was the 1st time i did that? I think. I dun rmb doing that for my Acer. Anyhow, its small and light. I LIKE! I can bring overseas without being afraid somebody will snatch my heavy Acer away. hee~

I was reading the CNY luck thingy last week. It says, Dragon should go overseas this coming Tiger year, but should be careful of losing stuff. So i need to get a good bag for me to put my stuff properly. :D Time to go Bugis St SOON!
